We are seeking a Software Research and Development Manager for our corporate headquarters in North Liberty, Iowa.   The successful candidate will fill a critical role in management of the entire software development lifecycle including appropriate allocation of resources, project communications, task assignments, conflict resolution and the creation of milestones and deliverables.

 

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in computer science or related field from a four year college or university, three or more years related experience and/or training managing software products, preferably in a health care or service related environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Supervisory and/or management are required.  

 

The successful candidate will have a positive work history, strong interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent written and oral communication capabilities and strong attention to detail.   Must be able to follow direction, assess Company needs, work independently, and project a professional attitude and image appropriate for the work environment.   Computer skills include proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Visual C++, Visual Studio, SQL, Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn Company specific software.   Experience with WPF and .NET Framework 3.5 is preferred, but not required. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.   Completion of Iowa's National Career Readiness Certificate is recommended (Kirkwood 319-398-7194).

Responsibilities include maintaining complete documentation of the development process and recording all changes made to the software, all bugs and bug patches; researching and developing new software products and new methods or components that could enhance or improve existing products; providing software support and supervising the provision of software support to end purchasers of software.

 

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in computer science or related field from a four year college or university and two or more years related experience and/or training as a software developer/engineer.
